Back up proximity beeper

  1. Hi gys,
My wife has a 2005 MINI Cooper S Cabri with back-up proximity warning system and it keeps blowing fuses. Anyone got an idea what might be doing it. It is a 5A fuse and I've tried a 10A but it blows just the same. I should add that a new fuse keeps the sytem going for a few days until it blows again.

    Regards
    Al

  2. Many modern cars locate the control unit for reverse sensors in either the spare wheel well or deep down in the void of the inner/outer wing, i have recently had to replace one on an 'x' type and one on a Ranger both had been submerged in water.
Taking into account the weather and the fact your car is a rag top, it might be worth a look.

  3. Late summer in NZ, so I guess the weather has not been too much of an issue with Al's. I would post on mini2 as surf suggests as I have always had a good feedback from there.
