Mini Cooper Register
I have a 2004 Mini Cooper S, and unfortunately it was involved in an accident, someone crashed into the side of me! It's now being repaired at a mini dealership's workshop, but the seatbelt sensor is not working (ie if I drive not wearing my seatbelt, the seatbeltwarning light doesn't come on). The garage keeps trying to tell me that it never had a seatbelt sensor and that I'm imagining it, but I'm convinced that it does! Please can anyone tell me if a 2004 Cooper S has a seatbelt sensor on it, or am I cracking up and imagining things?! Thanks.
I think you will find they didn't, also you probably should be wearing a seat belt:)
Thanks for your reply. I've read in my manual which is for all the models from a One to a Cooper S, and it mentions a seatbelt warning light that stays on until the seatbelt has been fastened. I'm presuming that as the Cooper S is the top model, it must be on there.
My 2003 stays on for 3 or 4 secs then goes out weither the belt is fastened or not and always has, the manual also says it is model dependant, and having the top modeldoes not always mean you get it all thrown in.
Try asking on mini2 forum, as the guys on there have probably already asked the same question as it is not a cut and dried matter.
