Cooper S fuel cap on to a D???

  1. I have just purchased a 2008 Cooper D for my wife and now the blinging has to begin 🙂

Does anyone know if it is possible to fit a Cooper S chrome fuel cap on to a Cooper D?

If so are there any other parts required to fit one apart from the cap assembly itself?

  2. Not sure………but this is how its done on the petrol MINI's Mk1 & 2:

You could also maybe try comparing your MC D with the new diesel MC SD and petrol MCS fuel filler part numbers on Realoem.com:

  3. I just thought I would let you know the Cooper S fuel cap does fit straight on a Cooper D.

I got one yesterday, had the correct colour shade mixed and put in an aerosol and painted and fitted it. Paint job looks as good if not better than factory finish. Looks great now 😀

hi would love to see pics if poss its a bit of bling i fancy trying. on another subject, wots your MPG, mines stuck at 54 would be interested if this is about the norm

  5. We only got the car on Tuesday but took it down to Southampton yesterday at 70mph there and Karen was doing 80-90 all the way back and the average now says 61mpg. 😀

I have added clear side repeaters with chrome vents, chrome mirror cover and fuel cap since we got it. We are now waiting for alloy pedals and chrome interior kit to arrive 😉

We are also thinking of adding some nice 17' wheels.

  6. Looking good! 😎

  7. cooper s fuel cap

looks great, more professional than the professionals, will be trying this myself. As for the mpg i am a bit baffled but have only covered 6000 miles so hope this is a possible cause.:

  8. Thanks it's getting there. Fitted the chrome interior kit the alloy pedals today. 🙂

I would expect your mpg to improve when its loosened up a little, its barely run in yet 😉

Did you see the tips I put on Mini2? Makes it a lot easier 😉

Today I removed the orange indicator lenses from the front headlights and fitted chrome bulbs. Looks really good now 😀

  11. Nice photos! 😎

Are you looking for wheels from the MINI options range or an aftermarket make?

There are lots of photos of wheels on modded MINI's to suit all tastes posted in this 47 page ongoing thread on TotalMINI.com, some good and some not so good……..
