My Mini is in the process of being restored now….with a target completion of August, ready for IMM. I'm going for Works Rally style…..so want to see / hear opinions on the quintessential works dash set up.
I've got the Minisport works dash pods (driver and passenger) and a range of gauges ready to go….these include :
10, 000 rpm Speedwell rev counter
Smiths 'Battery condition' (rather than volts !) gauge
Smiths Amps gauge
Smiths vacuum gauge
Smiths dual oil pressure / water temperature gauge
Smiths 'Fasten Seat Belt' gauge – for thr novelty of it 🙂
I'll be running a works lamp bar with 2x Lucas fog ranger and 2x spot ranger lamps, hopefully on separate switches (and high beam)….so opinions on which switches to use (pull or flick)….
The floor is now open…..opinions welcome !
Cheers Jon
The expensive items that the Works cars had are things like – Heuer Mastertime and Montecarlo watches, Halda Speedpilot and Halda Tripmaster or Twinmaster. Also Butlers map light, internal fuse boxes, fire extinguisher (I have a small Bradex one in my Clubman) and seperate switches for everything 😀
