  1. 'The MINI Clubman Hybrid will likely debut around the same time as the new Clubman itself, in the second half of 2015. It's unclear what MINI will name the system and what the model will be called. However it's clear that the Clubman Hybrid will sit atop the model range in price given its combination of extra tech, performance and extreme efficiency.'

  2. Look closely at the disguise, it looks like there's a second door handle on the side. Does that mean it's going to be a 6-door?. It also looks a bit longer than the current model.

By the way, what happened to the MINI E

  3. I think the new Clubman is sadly going to be a more conventional estate car with normal opening rear passenger doors on both sides to increase its sales appeal to a broader market…..it will however retain the traditional Mini 'barn' style twin opening rear doors to the load area though. Overall length is said to be similar to the current 4-door Countryman.
The 5 door version of the new F56 Hatch will fill the gap between 3 door Hatch and the new larger Clubman estate.

The MINI-E models were only really a 2-seater test bed including city driving trials by volunteer motorists but I think the technology is just starting to appear in production models like the Clubman Hybrid and BMW i3. I was following an i3 the other day and its 'hot hatch' acceleration from a standing start with no noise or fuss had many motorists very surprised and confused! 😀
