Wondered if anyone has a quick and easy to follow 'how to guide' for moving fuel pump from rear subframe into convenient position in boot?
Or advice as to whether to fit a Facet type pump and Filter King regulator, and if so, best location for pump.
I have a 1330 cc fast road Mk 3 Cooper S.
Many thanks
Malcolm

Just spotted this post (don't normally read this one)

Attached is a pic of my dual SU arrangement in the boot. One for each tank, switched on dash.

Filters from Minisport

(Usual disclaimers with fuel systems. Not a recommendation, but it has worked for me for 30 years)

If it's a straight change of position for the pump, then you've got to remember that the pump is a gravity feed and PUSHER pump. My friend left his under the boot floor but has it mounted to the sub frame through the lid of a tupperware box. He then just encloses the pump in the water and everything-else proof tupperware box. Simplicity itself and end of problem!

only problem is the facets are noisy especially the little solid state ones - clicking away - at least you know there working i guess

Nice work 😎
Any exhaust manifold work must be easy 😉

JanSpeed also used Facet pumps back in the days.

But I wanted my car as quiet as possible, so I used a Sytec injection pump, fitted to a rubber mounted bracket.
