Mk3 switch panel

Can someone give me a step by step guide to change bottom switch panel on a mk3 mini
The one with choke/heater controls & toggle switches not rocket type

Relatively easy-but can be a bit fiddly. Switch panel is attached to metal lower rail by 2 'stand off' brackets that hold the panel level with the vinyl covered foam moulding. See attached pic. You will need to disconnect choke & heater cable from engine. In theory you can then undo small nuts on the panel brackets and withdraw. However, access to these is tricky and you may find the width of the assembly doesn't want to pass through the foam moulding. I have usually ended up undoing front 2 self tappers holding heater in place allowing it to rotate down on the rear studs and undo the backing nuts on the choke & heater cables, partially withdrawing switch panel before disconnecting wiper & light switch electrics and washer pump hose. Panel can then be fully withdrawn complete with all switch gear, choke & heater cables.
