Social media numbers continue to rise

As well as promoting the club’s work through specialist magazines and this website, we also run two Facebook pages and a Twitter account which are, increasingly, becoming important channels of communication.

One Facebook page is just for members who have signed up to join in with news and views, but the other is open and now has 16,683 followers world-wide. We feature club activities, plus events that are of interest to Mini owners and lovers. A good example is the recent Castle Combe track day for which we shared photographs sent to us of the Minis taking part, which were seen by over 4,000 people in just a few days.

We also share news from our two sponsors Mini Sport (their IMM news bulletins and photographs were particularly popular) and Hagerty UK. If you haven’t seen it, do check out their tribute to The Italian Job filmed at Stowe School earlier this year.

Our events section has seen a huge number of people viewing, with our own National Mini Day topping the poll with 62.6k views, followed by the National Metro & Mini Show with 36.4k and the 60th Anniversary Diamond Tour to Shelsley Walsh, currently with 17.1k.

Our Twitter followers now number 2,848 and increase week by week.

We appreciate the interest shown in the club by all our followers on Facebook and Twitter.
