City of London
Just a thought, I wonder how many members work in the City or West End? We're not all retired surely?
You might already attend a regional meeting where you live but would anyone be interested in meeting other members who work in town? Obviously it would mean coming without your car but on the up side you could have a drink or two and meet members from other regions.
Potential interest here.......just so busy at the moment I struggle to make any commitment.....
I'm sorry, I fail to see the relevance or importance of seeking out this one demographic of society. Surely what we do, who we are, or even perhaps where our gender persuasions lie are of no consequence to the following of our hobby?

I think you may have misunderstood, this is simply a suggestion that people with a common interest who happen to be in a particular location meet up.
I am not suggesting any demographic or gender considerations unless you count a light hearted reference to the age profile of our membership which I think is an admitted fact. As for what they do, as you rightly say that is irrelevant but I made no reference to this.
Perhaps some people who commute find it difficult to attend their regional meetings and this might appeal to them? I don't know, it's simply something that occurred to me, if there's no interest from the potential audience (whoever they might be) that's not a problem. Nothing ventured nothing gained

Well you're not excluded any more than you are from the Suffolk or Scotland regions!
