Hi everybody

I wanted to share some pics and info about my project cooper Mk1 1964. Its a left hand drive with a great history.
The actual car is from the beginning a mk1 cooper 1964. In the end of 60s the car was modified for racing with a 970 cc engine and disc brakes. The car was on the tracks until 1973 when it was stowed away. In the beginning of 1975 my great grand dad got the car as a payment after some years of working with racecars, my mom then got it for first car when she´s got her driving license. She drove the car to the beginning of the eghties when it was left in my grandads garage. A few years ago me and my dad started to take the car apart and begun a restaoration. The car still has the 970cc engine and disc brakes along with some other things like oilcooler, 200 km/h speedo. unfortunately the interior was partly scrapped and painted so are looking for an other one in Gold Brocade. The thought is to get the car back on the road before my mom gets to old. I will update this trhead when more work is done.

Welcome, what a great story!

I can't quite figure out the colour of your car - it looks old english white in one photo and possibly fiesta yellow in the other?

Getting the first priming on. Using the etching primer for aeroplanes to stick on there for the rest of its life.
