I have an SPI cooper S and needed to change the fuel pipe to the fuel filter from the tank, it's not available so I needed to get the mpi one and change the fuel filter to the non adapter one which is turning into a nightmare. Can anybody tell me how the MPI orange fuel pipe from the pump connects to the metal pipe just before it exits the boot floor? Is it a push on with a spring clip or a plastic quick release connector? Many thanks

Can't help with you MPi question, but if you want to keep it to original specification I bought a new fuel line for my SPi from Somerford as they had them tooled up..

Edited my post and I was just left with the edited text? I was advised by a well known company to modify to the mpi pipe work as the adapter union that screws into the SPI filter was no longer available. This has turned into a nightmare as the advised filter doesn't fit. Paid about £60 for the small pipe from the tank to the filter and the 6' pipe that exits the filter and the filter but the pipe connection to the pump has what looks like a quick release ridge on it and the filter doesn't fit 🙁 I will have a look at Somerfords site
