What does ULG mean?

Thanks
Dave is referring to the first part of the registration of the Bronze car.

Paul is referring to the rotodip hole in the rear bulkhead which is missing from the beige car.
Thanks for the replies.

I did look at those two ebay but they were private. thought I would be better off buying from a dealer.

Thanks
You're kidding?! , general classic dealers by and large won't know the front end of a genuine Cooper S from the back and will charge you a good wedge over and above what a private seller (who's more likely to know his car!) will do. If you want to find the right car for the right money just listen to the advice you'll get on here , or join the club and get a local knowledgeable member to go and look at a car with you. Prices are going up yes, but wonky cars will always struggle to sell. Both Ebay cars look genuine original cars to me.

Its so confusing looking at all these cars. Its not like your spending 2 or 3k. I was just thinking buying from a dealer I would have more comeback. Like anyone I would be gutted to buy something and it turn out not to be a cooper when it was sold as one.
I think your right if I find a car I should then come on here and find someone local who would be kind enough to come with me. 🙂
The car's been discussed on here before , amongst other issues I seem to remember wrong shell, wrong trim and wrong engine being at the top of the list. Not a great start at that money! There is (or was) a very original one owner Bronze Mk3 S on Ebay for £15K ish which is a much more realistic price and is the real deal. People are snapping up some very overpriced and wrong cars at the moment, blame Channel 4 ! :p At least you're asking questions before you stump up, some don't bother and get badly stung sadly. Pete
ULG ?
This was the car I was referring to Dave.. Not cheap is it considering the mods, but looks original and from your manor. 'Words in the advert are very familiar! Dave'

Im sure plenty of folk on here would help you varify a car but that car is a walk away car - if your spending 20k theres a lot more proper stuff out there - I doubt you would ever resell it for decent money

http://www.charmansautomotive.co.uk/showroom/48/austin-mini/
...tis a lovely car but not 100 % orig.. I don't recognise the colour for a mk 3 s.. I had a Bedouin one but that's not it !!!... for that kind of money would have been nicer with orig shell etc etc .. but !!! its still a nice car in my eyes.. foxy52
