I have a chassis vin plate but no paint trim codes on it, would you think this is the correct color? BVLC16?

Don't some of those late 60's/early 70's colours loook hideous? When I moved to Abingdon in the late 70's I bought a house from an ex Leyland Cowley based engineer. He must have 'liberated' 50 gallons of bronze yellow/harvest gold type paint from the Cowley paint shop. Then proceeded to paint one wall in every sodding room in the house with this concoction. It was hideous........ It took weeks and weeks of overpainting and it never really covered it. The worst bit was that in the large lounge, it was the largest wall that he's painted. So I thought I'd just strip the anaglypta wall paper off that he'd painted over............. He must have liberated 50 gallons of evostick too because pulling the paper off nearly pulled the walls down!

When I investigated the attic, it was full of Austin Maxi parts........ That says all you need to know about his tastes!!!!!!!
