No mater how hard I try the vinyl covering on the lower shelf always seems to look creased on my MK3 . It is just under the Speedo housing where the material tucks under the chrome trim. This seems to disrupt the neatness in finish. Any ideas? Should the whole thing be glued down? Any ideas would be gratefully recieved

The dash liners that you can buy now are all pretty poor anyway - wrong shape and need some trimming to get them anywhere near fitting - i cut mine down a bit near the switch panel and also near the clocks - try putting the liner in before the clock binnacle - and a little heat from a hairdryer / hot air gun will also help pad

Thank for that. Will try working out the shape and perhaps retriming. The hair dryer sound a good idea.. Did you glue at all down or just leave is loose?

Thanks Pad. Did you have much of a gap between the chrome edge trim that runs along the top of the lower dash rail and the hump above the heater. Thats the bit where mine gets scruffy .
