I remember those as a nipper. One mag (Practical Motorist maybe) had an artiucle about replacing the front end of a Mini - but we're going back to 1974/5.
The best bit about being in your 40's is memories of climbing over shagged out Mark 1 Minis in scrapyards to get to the later stuff to rob Mark 2 tail lights, grilles and other upgrades...
