Hi, all - found this place from some of the threads asking for help identifying coil wiring on a '91 'mainstream' Mini. I, too, have a car that I *believe* to be a '91 based on the gauges I have and some other identifying details - it's currently VINned as a '76, but I suspect this was done to allow the car to be sent to the US from the UK. Makes it tough to know 100% what vintage my car is, but...
Anyway, I, too, notice that the wiring diagram in the Haynes book does not seem to be 100% accurate for my car, and am looking for help identifying some wires. Specifically, I'm trying to hook up the 2 wires connecting to the BRAKE PEDAL SWITCH, but I can't find leads matching the ones in the diagram. Can someone with a '91 possibly eyeball your brake pedal and let me know what the 2 colored wires you have are? I'm looking under my dash and all I can find that's not currently connected is a black/white with an odd connection (which I believe is an unused wire that drives the tachometer when installed - which I don't have), and a pair of wires connected to a harness plug, which won't work with the switch I have, which has a pair of separate spade terminals. I'm asking because I had to replace the switch while iwas putting a new engine in the car (long story) and now I can't seem to find the leads to the old switch anywhere.
Thanks in advance.
Nobody has a '91 and can check? Sadness!!
Hi, my 1992 Sprite is wired GREEN(feed) and GREEN/PURPLE(lights). I hope this helps you.

Are yours two separate wires, or are they connected in a harness plug? Thanks!
