My husband Phil & I saw this Innocenti at the Anglia auction & it is not what it seems. Anyone have an opinion to share on it please?

Judging by the colour it looks like it is a re-shell into a late '80s/early '90s Mini City or Sprite. Other tell tales are the rear quarter windows and the position of the side repeaters. The auction sale price was around £7750, which surprised me. Initially the present vendor was asking £9950, but this has since been lowered.

I know these Innocenti Coopers quite well. They were built here in the Authi Factory in Pamplona, Spain. The one for sale has many parts that are not original from this model. It has been nicely restored (and converted to RHD) but they have used a variety of parts. The dash is the original LHD dash (clocks on the left side) but replicas of these are readily available.
The Spanish cars had Rostyle wheels and two tone interiors. Many had the optional vinyl roof as well. The chassis number should start with 'GTC' if its an original Cooper.
They are getting quite valuable now here in Spain.
Hope the info is of use to you.
Paul.
