CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM YOUR CHAIRMAN

Dear MCR member

As 2021 comes to a close – and we seem to be facing more restrictions after Christmas – I would like to take the opportunity to thank all members of the Club for their continued and much-valued support throughout what has been a difficult year for all of us in the United Kingdom and further afield.

Despite the challenges we have faced, the Club continues to thrive at the Regional and Register level and our brilliant magazine CooperWorld, has I know, kept many members interest up in all things Mini/MINI. Events and meetings have been organised by the club and our dedicated Regional Organisers, as and when they were allowed, which were much appreciated by those taking part.

Our National Day at Beaulieu was a great success despite a restriction in numbers – hopefully, our 2022 event will be up to full strength. Overall Club membership levels continue to climb and we are back to over 2250 members and pre-Covid levels.

In closing, I thank you for helping to keep the Mini Cooper Register at the heart of Mini ownership and enjoyment in the UK, and on behalf of the Committee, I would like to wish you a very merry Christmas and a safe and healthy 2022.

With best wishes,

Robert Young
Chairman

MCR Beaulieu ******* TICKETING UPDATE *******

******* TICKETING UPDATE *******

Following our email on Friday regarding tickets for Beaulieu it transpired that they had not gone live on their ticketing page. We have spoken to them and they will start ticket sales on Monday afternoon. We have posted the following on Facebook and we will update the website news page as well.

Tickets for the event will go on sale from Beaulieu’s on-line ticket service in the afternoon of Monday 1st March. The link is here: https://www.beaulieu.co.uk/events/mini-cooper-register-rally/

Please note that Beaulieu’s normal refund policies apply but should the event be cancelled because of government restrictions preventing it from continuing, Beaulieu have agreed that a full refund would be made on purchased tickets.

Thank you for your patience while we have been making these arrangements.

MCR.

National Day at Beaulieu

Dear Mini Cooper Register member

I am pleased to be able to tell you that our National Day at Beaulieu, celebrating 60 years of the Mini Cooper, is all systems go.

We waited until the latest Government roadmap was announced to see if it was going to be practical to run our day on the 13 June.

The roadmap makes it clear that we are allowed to run the event and the Beaulieu Events team have been delighted with the roadmap measures that allow an event such as ours to go ahead.

There will however, have to be social distance measures in place but our event being just a week away from all lockdown measures hopefully being removed, we do have to comply.

Tickets will be available in advance only – no tickets will be sold on the day at the gate. This is for two reasons. The first is to comply with Test and Trace obligations and secondly, the number of tickets available will be limited.

In the unlikely event that the Government have to install further restriction, preventing us from running our event, full refunds will be available from Beaulieu.

Hopefully we will have a great day and I\’m sure the mood of the country will be buoyant as a vast number will have been vaccinated by mid June and infection numbers will hopefully have tumbled.

To avoid disappointment I\’d advise buying your tickets promptly and if you need to book accommodation, I\’d suggest that you also do that sooner rather than later.

Let\’s hope all goes to plan and our Mini Cooper 60th celebrations will be an event to remember.

Regards

Happy Christmas

Dear MCR member

From all of the committee we just wanted to send you our best wishes for the festive period and please stay safe for 2021.

We know that it been a difficult year for all of us but we, as a club, have continued to prosper despite losing so many planned events this year. I know CooperWorld dropping through your letterbox each month has kept your interest up. Thank you to all those who contribute towards our fine magazine and thank you all for your continued support of the club.

Hopefully, 2021 will see things soon improve but until then please keep in touch via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or the forum and if you need any help or just want a chat then please do not hesitate to get in contact.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

And if you need that last-minute Christmas present then why not visit the club shop.

Kind regards,
