Hope you are all well, and welcome to all new members who have joined the region during the lockdown periods when we have not been able to meet. I hope to be able to meet and welcome you in person soon.
Following the lifting of restrictions, hopefully we can now get our region up and running again. Unfortunately, the Arkwright Arms has decided to close at 9 o’clock for the time being, so it looks like we will have to find a new venue. The Higham Farm Hotel (https://www.santoshighamfarm.co.uk) has been suggested, and suggestions for other suitable venues are welcome. Please get in touch with your suggestions.
In order to give time to find somewhere, and bearing in mind many Members will be trying to get a holiday arranged, I suggest the first meeting should be held on the last Monday in September.
Also, it has been suggested the wee could visit the Great British Car Journey at Ambergate (https://www.greatbritishcarjourney.com). If you are interested, please let me know, and I will try and arrange it. Suggestions for other visits or days out are also welcome.
