Mini Cooper Register – Essex Region

by Niki Halls

Good evening fellow mini and MINI lovers

As the Essex region has been without a representative for quite a long time, I thought I would volunteer to be the regional rep and see if we can arrange some events or potentially join in with other areas, Kent seems to be a very active area socially.

It would be great to meet as many of you as possible at The Hawk on Monday 4 March – I will be there with my MINI Cooper S, hopefully the sun will shine and it will bring you and your cars out – if we can get a good show of cars we could use the photo for our Facebook profile picture.

if The Hawk is not a convenient place to meet, perhaps we could out another pub to the vote for the April meeting?

Please find the new Facebook page, give it a “like” and leave me a photo of your car.

Can’t wait to meet up – I don’t want to be the only MINI or mini in the car park!!

Best wishes.

Niki

THAMES VALLEY REGION NEWSLETTER

FEBRUARY/MARCH 2019

A reminder that our meetings are on the last Wednesday of the month at The Crooked Billet, London Road, Hook, Hants, RG27 9EH from 8pm. All members are very welcome, you don’t have to own a Mini Cooper – any mini will do! It doesn’t matter if you turn up without your mini either….just come along for a drink and a chat with other members. If you have any technical queries about your minis then there is bound to be somebody at the meeting who can help you.

NEXT MEETING – 27th February

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

It seems that all club stand places at Brooklands Mini Day 24th March 2019 have now been taken up although it’s worth being on the reserve list, just in case, please contact Ken Hunter: kenneth.hunter1@btinternet.com

“All types of Mini (including the modern BMW) are invited to this annual event, so expect displays in all areas of the Museum site. From the oldest to the newest, this year’s event will see some of the earliest examples nestling among hundreds of Minis and their variations including vans and pickups. As always Test Hill will be in action (subject to weather).
There will be a variety of trade stands offering mini parts, spares and memorabilia.”

If you are considering entering the Concours then you are advised to book early. There will be the usual line up of Competition and ex-works cars. A large number of specialist Mini traders are expected as well as the unique trunk trading area. The ticket line is now open for advance tickets.
