THAMES VALLEY REGION NEWSLETTER

NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2019

A reminder that our meetings are on the last Wednesday of the month at The Crooked Billet, London Road, Hook, Hants, RG27 9EH from 8pm. All members are very welcome, you don’t have to own a Mini Cooper – any Mini will do! It doesn’t matter if you turn up without your Mini either….just come along for a drink and a chat with other members…..we’re quite a friendly bunch of people. If you have any technical queries about your Minis then there is bound to be somebody at the meeting who can help you.

NEXT MEETING – Please note that there will be NO regional meeting on 27th November because of the Christmas meal on Friday 29th November and there will be NO December meeting as this falls on Christmas Day! Therefore, the next meeting at Hook will be on Wednesday 29th January 2020.

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

There is still time to book for The Thames Valley Region’s CHRISTMAS MEAL!! This is on Friday 29th November at The Crooked Billet in Hook, 7pm for 7.30. The price is £22 for two courses or £27 for three courses. A £5 deposit will be needed in advance and also your menu choices. A copy of the menu has been published on the MCR forum and also on our region’s Facebook page. If you need one sent to you then contact Lorraine or Clive.

If you managed to get to The NEC Lancaster Classic Motor Show then I hope you enjoyed it and visited the MCR’s stand which was impressive, as always. The Restoration Show at the NEC in March is useful for ideas, information and stocking up on essentials for your Minis

If you’re quick then there is still time to book your room for the MCR’s social weekend in Bournemouth on the weekend of 24th – 26th January. If you’ve never experienced this weekend then you don’t know what you’re missing! Contact: Josh Bromage secretary@minicooper.org or phone 07950 753299

Clive has had some new Thames Valley Region car stickers made so you can pick one up at the meetings in Hook.

The date for next year’s Thames Valley Tour has been announced by Terry and Helen Schraider. This will be 19th July so make a note of this.

From gearknobs and clothing to stickers and badges, you can find celebratory Mini 60th Anniversary items in our club shop and more goodies are being added on a regular basis….if you can’t find what you’re looking for then please ask. Have a look at the website Mini Cooper Register and click on club shop.
