I want to fit a walnut dash to my 1275GT but still keeping the original black plastic 3 clock outer binnacle / surround. It seems all the currently available dashes based on the MPI style cars require the removal of the plastic binnacale - I want to keep mine as I think they look nice, so I was wondering if anyone on here knows either of a company making dashboards in two parts, like they did in the old days (a long section with glovebox from passenger side up to clocks, plus a little section for airvent area on driver's side), or if it's possible to modify a new style one without cracking the lacquer.

Alternatively if anyone has a nice condition vintage one they want to sell...

Any suggestions much appreciated. Thanks.

Rokee made a 3 piece wooden dash for the 1275GT type, with 3 instruments.
Here is what it looks like =

My car had a similar one in when I bought it, but lacquer had peeled off and it had been roughly drilled to take nasty speakers. Thanks for pic.
