The piston crowns after about 3000 miles:

After taking the picture, I wiped the chamber with a lint free rag and was pleased to see some of the carbon wipe off the valves. If this head gasket goes the way of the last I might give the chambers a clean up in 6 months!
And there's no sign of the exhaust valve 'whitening' as the standard head showed - any idea why this is? I wondered if this was due to the exhaust valve running hotter.
ETA And I took the opportunity to fit a spacer washer to the exhaust manifold/ultimate engine steady :).
