The THAMES VALLEY TOUR 15 July 2018 (1 reply)
The event has no competitive element, and is intended as an opportunity for you to drive your pride and joy through picturesque
parts of Hampshire and Berkshire, and to visit the home of Lord Nuffield, the founder of the Morris Car Company. The total route
distance is about 85 miles.
The start venue in Hook, Hampshire has plenty of parking space and a Cafe where signing on will take place and a "rally breakfast" of a bacon bap and a cup of tea will be provided.
The day has been designed for two people; additional passengers are welcome and may be carried (for an additional fee).
You will be given an easy to follow tulip road book to take you along our carefully designed meandering route northwards to Nuffield Place where some of the cars will be displayed in front of the house. There will be plenty of time to explore the house and possibly to enjoy a snack in the on-site cafe. After the visit the route returns via different roads to the finish hotel in Hook, where a wide selection of food options are available to order.
There are lots of beautiful views along the route with many places of interest, many of which will be described in the road book and some suitable stopping places will be indicated for you to spend a few minutes should you wish to.
Please see attached regulations and entry form should you be interested.
