Hi,

I have recently had this very bush replaced on my hydro Mk2 car and it is not necessary to remove the rack (let alone subframe).

Following thread contains most of what you need to know (well it was enough for the garage anyway), I had some 'forum issues' with uploading some further information but I'll try again over the weekend.

If you use the forum search feature you may find some more useful info although I did quite a lot of trawling about for the above thread. 🙂

Hope you can sort yours out, what stage has it got to? Sound like a troll is hammering on the heelboard yet? 😮

Yes, I managed to replace the bush in situ. A bit fiddly, the worst bit is trying to restake the locknut for the steering arm but it is possible and SO much easier than dropping the frame to remove the rack. Got to do my 850's rack at some point as well.
