Hardy Spicer Differential Output Flange Seal? (5 replies)
I am trying to source a Hardy Spicer Differential Output Flange Seal. This is the rubber seal that sits on the bolt in the centre of the differential output which stops oil leaking from the differential through the centre of the differential output, specifically for a late December 1966 Cooper 'S' with the hardy spicer Universal Joint type drive shaft couplings. I have not been able to find a parts supplier in the UK listing this part for sale. Mini Spares state this part is no longer available. I cannot think it would be too difficult to source a seal that would do the job, but wondered what others have done in the past to replacing this part, particularly those people that have completed the restoration of a late Mk1 Cooper / S.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Mini Spares sells them
Thank you for the link. That is good to know that Mini Spares stock them, as I had been unable to find anything online other than at Mini Mania in the US, though the cost of postage to the UK was unbelievably expensive. I had been in to Minispares on the 21 August 2017 to buy quite a number of parts, and that particular part they had said was not available, and I believe the Mini Spares Part Cataloge shows it as NLA (No Longer Available) also. Certainly the link you have found shows they are available from Mini Spares and the website show they appear to be in stock. Thank you for taking the time to look and post a reply. That is much appreciated.
I know they sell them as they sent me a couple a few weeks ago!! I need a couple more now, as I decided to take off the output flanges again. I am building up a gearbox so I am having a play with it! Somerfords also sell them
