Hello (8 replies)
Thought I had (finally) got Mini
s out of my system, but I`
m back in the fold after 10 years "cold turkey".
They're not a thing to get out of your system!!
Lovely, any more pictures? How long have you had it?
A couple of weeks, having looked at many, many Mini`s I was surprised to pick up a mainstream (carburettor) Cooper in such good original condition
Only seem to be able to add on picture at a time..
Nice! You been out much in it? Much work to do?
I only got mine relatively recently, and I have to say was starting to get a bit depressed at what I seemed able to get for my money. We saw some fairly poor examples! Then luckily the right one came along - seems to be something to be said for patience. Hopefully we'll see you out and about in it this summer!
We plan to avoid wet roads if possible, so the car has not been out of the garage since my wife drove it home - she loves it and considers it her car now!
Surprisingly, the car does not need any work, but I`m planning to have it set up on a rolling road after fitting Maniflow downpipes and a twin box RC40 exhaust.
The car is garaged, but were thinking of investing in one of those carcoon cover`s - anyone tried these?
Looks like a good one Steve, this is my "Mainstream"
Very nice car, my wife Frances had a Quicksilver Cooper brand new in either 1990 or 1991, that was very similar to yours.
