For Sale: October 1966, Mk1 Mini Cooper S Rolling Project, which may have rally history (further investigation required).
In brief, been in a dry garage for 20 years - only came out as the garages are being demolished and the owner has health problems and so is unable to finish.
Originally old english white with black roof. Red and gold interior. RHD home market car.
Green logbook, current logbook, heritage certificate, lots of history, bills and old photos from the 1970s and 1990s. Original shell with all the correct S bits. Original engine 312 block, 1128 gearbox, a tunned 11 stud 940 head (engine/gearbox still together but out of the car). Hydrolastic displacers and pipework. Refurbished twin tanks, piano-hinge glass, 120 speedo, chrome gearstick, original doors, bonnet, boot, two-piece roof lining all in good condition etc. Very little rust. Negatives - has no interior, standard mini wheels, obviously needs a full restoration.
Sorry no photos, but we all know what a Mk1 shell looks like. The car will be able to view in Bristol in two weeks. An excellent base to make a Concours car. First to see will buy. Offers welcome circa £18,000.
