Hi all i have a mk1 cooper s with h4 carbs, i purchased a pair of float chamber extension and on fitting to the car it would not run as it was flooding, the problem i thing was that the float level was higher than the needle jet , is there a special float fork to suit these extensions

You just need to carefully bend the fork holding the fuel delivery needle downwards so the the fuel level then sits just below the top of the jet. Float chamber extensions are simply not needed for a road car.
